My parents had their honeymoon there in 1955 and they took us there every summer for years in the 1960s. That place was magic!

This was our family’s cabin at Long Pine Camp! We would go every summer during the 1960s and early 1970s. Mom and her family had gone during summers when she was growing up (she was born in 1927). So many great memories of swimming, fishing, playing cards in the store, horse back rides and tether ball! Sunday chicken dinners at the main house. We got to know the Cragun kids and even some of the other regulars that would vacation there every summer.

Cabin #7 at Cragun’s Lone Pine Resort. Spent quite a few summer vacations there in the 1950’s and early 1960’s. Beach is down the dirt road to the right (and some beach front cabins), fields and woods and tennis court off to the left, and road proceeds behind the photographer to other cabins, a shuffleboard court, the Cragun’s home, chicken coops, and a barn. Fond memories!
