I loved Herman’s Resort. It was my aunt and uncle’s resort. One of the cabins was a double and my aunt and mother were 2 of 12 so we got to stay in the double cabin – slide the doors and you had a huge fun place to play cards, maybe have a drink or two and enjoy family, cousins, brothers and sisters and inlaws! Probably around 1946 my mother and I lived in the main cabin with Herman and Florence. Herman took me with him drilling for maple from the trees. I believe Herman built the cabins himself. Many memories of Herman’s Resort!
