I have memories of being here as a kid not as vacationer. My grandparents (Myron and Neva Hickok) were the caretaker of the resort
I am 71 years old now and the picture brings back so many memories of being there
I, too, have wonderful memories, never to be repeated, of summers at Hamilton Lodge! The Hamilton and Savage families and many friends like the Shepherd family and others will remain in the hearts of Dunlap family forever!! ♥️ Susie D.
Martha, I have such happy memories of Hamilton’s Lodge, including picking raspberries with you, and sailing. It was a magical place, not to be duplicated.
I took my youngest daughter Martha there in 2000. It took some time to find it, still tucked in the tall pine trees along a long narrow dusty road. The lodge was not being used for anything but storage The cabins to the right of the Dunlap’s were just like they had always been but from the Lodge to the Shepherds cabin had been sold off and had lost all of her charm.
The memories we have should not be forgotten. It was a very special place in very special moment in our lives.

Thank you so much for this wonderful website. It is amazing. I just purchased your book on resorts and am looking forward to receiving it.
