My husband, Ray Heidelberger, is the nephew of Harley Jensen. Ray and his brother, Bob Heidelberger, did much of the construction work on the island for Uncle Harley. Bob was a gifted concrete finisher by profession and Harley called upon them many times for help. We met a couple named Holland when they stayed in one of Harley’s cabins and know they later purchased property from Harley on the island and built a home there.
Any sources of information you have about Harley’s years on the island, the post office and his hardware store which, I believe was in Warroad, would be so SO appreciated. Ray and I are in our 80’s and reminiscing ! Thanks, so much.
