What fun to discover your website! I am 83 years old and spend every summer of my life “up at the Lake” until I was married in 1965. Our cabin was between Birchdale and Ben Knebel’s mailboat on Lake Bertha. I believe after the Goodmans, Ted and Mary Perrin bought Birchdale and ran it for many years. There were regulars who, as kids, we got to know. After Perrin’s I believe the Ellingboes owned it. It was then divided into lots which had wonderful views over Lake Bertha. If you have any questions about Lake Bertha and the Whitefish Chain, I might be able to help.
